Moths, Bugs and all things Cedarwood

  Let's Champion Cedarwood  Guardian of the Garments Hiding in your wardrobe between caps, coats and cardigans all is not what it seems ...the female clothes moth is busy laying miniscule eggs which are poised to hatch, invade and disintegrate your favourite gear.  Thanks to warmer weather and central heating, moths are hanging around for longer and their larvae are mighty eating machines .  Here's a quick lepidopterology lesson (that's the study of moths to you and me😉) around 50 eggs are laid at a time, the larvae feast for 50 days, they become pupae and wrap themselves in a silken case and continue feasting, they become moths and carry on this cycle from May to October.  Ho ley moley! you better take action but most of us cannot stand the unnatural, chemical laden smell of mothballs.  Thankfully, nature can lend a hand.
